The Blackberry Curve 8300

After visiting a Suncom store I decided that the Blackberry Curve 8300 was more like I was looking for than the Blackberry Pearl. I figured once I get my replacement from tessies-toys (see “The Blackberry Pearl and tessies-toys“) I would give it to my wife or sell it on eBay or whatever. So the stores in my area are all out of 8300s and I was able to order one on the website.

So today it arrived. I was so happy with my brand new never opened never touched Blackberry. I put in my sim card and the battery and started to charge it. I called Suncom and changed my data plan to support the blackberry, and I registered its numbers on their website so I could get the e-mail service to the phone. Then when I started using the phone it started to randomly reboot. After it did this to me 5 times (and the thing takes 2 minutes to boot) I started searching the net about it. Turns out this is a common problem with this model and they have to be replaced. (http://forums.crackberry.com/f52/curve-rebooting-occassion-normal-1711/)
